NANOPATHOLOGY PROJECT

The project aims to assess the impact that pollution in general and, more in particular, environmental particles  have on human health. We mean to evaluate the various possible sources of particles (dust) and their degree of biocompatibility. Special attention will be paid to ultrafine particles, already notoriously classified as the most aggressive in terms of impact on health. Environmental Medicine is now growing a true interdisciplinary science that, in collaboration with medical doctors, can lead to more correct diagnoses, thus allowing to implement more suitable, more effective and less harmful  therapies than is currently the case.
